Fearing for their lives and being expelled from this politically influenced church, they failed to grow in numbers.
The Iglesia ni Cristo crisis began when Angel Manalo and Tenny Manalo, the brother and mother of the Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo appeared on media to call on INC members to vigil outside the Manalo Residence to contend against corruption, kidnapping of its ministers and allegedly doctrinal errors.
Zabala also allegedly threatened to sue the supporters of the expelled members.
This issue is now reaping comments amongst the Netizens on how this once a church full of solidarity ends up in division specially in the family of their founder whom they called the "Last Messenger".
Kal EL said, I cannot imagine being part of a sect (or religion) wherein you fear for your life and the life of your love ones or knowing you have brothers and sisters in faith who are in fear of their lives. I cannot imagine the ambivalent feeling of salvation and at the same time horrified.
Vic de la Peña said, Wow! INC has snipers to shoot members who does not follow orders. If these events happened in the U.S., the place would had been searched for weapons by the law enforcements.
Mike Martinez said, nakakatakot pla diyan sa inc pag natiwalag ka!
Palemoonlight Bee Lyll Ano na ang nangyayari sa inyo?“They will try everything to bury those who stand by faith to terminate their wrongdoings in the church,” the source said, who has been inside Manalo's compound since Sunday and doesn't want to surface fearing Zabala.
